eume, short for eumelanin was the third installment of an interactive exhibition trilogy forthe Overtown Music and Arts Festival.
eume celebrated brown and black skin tones, allowing festival-goers to draw themselves into their city's fabric.
The piece was constructed from two 6x6' hexagons and three 5' pentagons. An aerial view of the exhibition mimicked the composition of eumelanin, the specific melanin that creates brown and black skin tones.

Birth Certificate was created for the 25th Anniversary of Ice Cube's Death Certificate album. The redesign pays homage to the original album cover but adds a layer of commentary. Being born Black in America can be a death sentence. Birth Certificate was one of four pieces selected by Ice Cube and his team.
