eume, short for eumelanin was the third installment of an interactive exhibition trilogy forthe Overtown Music and Arts Festival.
eume celebrated brown and black skin tones, allowing festival-goers to draw themselves into their city's fabric.
The piece was constructed from two 6x6' hexagons and three 5' pentagons. An aerial view of the exhibition mimicked the composition of eumelanin, the specific melanin that creates brown and black skin tones.
2000 Drawings
2000 Drawings is an iterative experiment where two lead artists draw 1,000 drawings each within a twenty-four hour period from prompts pulled every fifteen minutes. This yearly program is free and open to the public.
